We don’t recommend buying your own grass because the Porch Potty was designed to work with “dirtless grass”. The hydroponic “grass” that we sell for the Porch Potty has less than 1% of dirt which is considerably less than the dirt on “regular grass”. A regular grass will clog the Porch Potty drainage system which can cause odour and serious drainage problems.
If you do purchase your own grass, we recommend using the Catch Basin to avoid clogging the drainage hose.
